With more than 10 years in financial services working with corporate clients, Nicko brings substantial breadth of experience and specialization to his executive benefits practice.
He started his career as a property & casualty underwriter working at Chubb for several years in the National Account space. While at Chubb, Nicko worked with some of the largest public and private companies in the world, crafting primary casualty insurance programs to best fit each client’s complex needs. In his role as an underwriter, Nicko built a reputation of fostering relationships through his accessibility and aptitude for problem-solving.
At Mullin Barens Sanford Financial, Nicko is a tireless advocate for his clients, contributing to his role as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across organizations. From designing unique plan structures to innovatively meet employee retention and recruitment goals, to evaluating informal funding strategies to improve asset efficiency, Nicko is uniquely able to find the creative solution.
Nicko graduated from Swarthmore College with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Statistics. While there, he played Varsity baseball for four years, including as captain in his junior and senior years.
Most of Nicko’s free time goes to the most recent addition to the family, his son, who he and his wife Kelsie welcomed in late 2023. In his limited additional free time, Nicko volunteers with the First Tee, CoachArt, and on special projects with his alma mater, Swarthmore College and enjoys traveling, hiking, camping and golfing.
